The Ministers of Public Security of the Americas, in Quito, agreed that El Salvador will host the next Meeting of Ministers on Public Security in the OAS (MISPA VIII) in 2021, after the offer from the Minister of Foreign Affairs of El Salvador, Alexandra Hill.
During her participation in the Ministerial meeting, Minister Hill reiterated the commitment of the Government of President Nayib Bukele to the OAS agenda and his "commitment to continue fostering cooperation on issues of public security in the region." She also reaffirmed the importance that her country gives to the fight against transnational organized crime in the Americas.
El Salvador will also host in 2021 the 3rd course of the Inter-American Network for Police Development and Professionalization (REDPPOL).
