A
delegation from the Organization of American States (OAS) today met
with the President of Haiti, Michel Martelly, and the country’s new
Minister of Culture, Monique Rocourt, during a working visit to the
Caribbean country.
The meeting was held with the aim of preparing
for the next Meeting of Ministers of Culture of the Americas, to be
held in Port-au-Prince on
August 12-13.
In
addition to President Martelly and Minister Rocourt, the meeting also
included the OAS Director of the Department of Economic and Social
Development, Maryse Robert, and the Director General of the Ministry of
Culture of Haiti, Stefan Malebranche, among others.
