George Washington University wins Junkanoo Jam

George Washington University claims Junkanoo Jam 2014 title in Freeport, Grand Bahama.

Freeport, The Bahamas - The George Washington University beat Purdue Women's Basketball for the Junkanoo Jam, Freeport Division, title last night at St. George's Gymnasium in Freeport.

Local hero Jonquel 'JJ' Jones, a Grand Bahama native won the MVP after leading George Washington to victory. At halftime the score was 36 to 19 for GW, and at the final it was 79 to 59.

NC State handed Texas Tech Lady Raiders their 2nd loss of the tournament with a 75-42 win putting NC in 3rd place.
