A clean sweep against Trinidad & Tobago today for The Bahamas Davis Cup Team. The competition got off to a great start with Kevin Major Jr. leading the way. Despite his first appearance on the court there were no nerves present as Kevin sliced his way through the competition. In the first set Kevin beat Luke De Caires 6-2. However, De Caires answered with a win in the second 6-3. Nonetheless Kevin regrouped and overpowered De Caires in the third set in splendid fashion 6-1. Spencer Newman played next and dealt with Akiel Duke 6-3,6-1. With the win in the bag, The Bahamas still give a good showing by winning the doubles 6-3 6-2. Spencer and Marvin Rolle continue to hone their chemistry and was victorious over Chung and De Caires of Trinidad.

The Bahamas have succeeded in defeating all the countries in their pool and sit at the top of Pool B. They now face the runner up of Pool A, Jamaica. The winner of this match will advance to Group II from Group III.

The Bahamas Lawn Tennis Association(BLTA) congratulates this dynamic team of young men and applaud the talent displayed in this high level tennis tournament. We look forward to the upcoming match on Saturday where Team Bahamas has earned the right to compete for the advancement and promotion of The Bahamas in the Tennis Arena.
