Nassau, Bahamas - ArtOvation with TaDa is a weekly one-hour radio show covering Issues, interviews and introspection related to the developing and emerging arts and entertainment industries of the Bahamas.

This Saturday, November 27th at 8am tune in to ArtOvation with TaDa on Star 106FM.

Moya Thompson


Moya Thompson grew up in Nassau Bahamas. She got started in acting while attending the College of The Bahamas as a part of a comedy improv group called Dramatic Force. She later ventured into filmmaking and embarked on studies at Colombus College Chicago in 2003. In 2005, she continued with comedy improv work as a part of a local group known as Da Spot, which was a Bahamian version of Saturday Night Live.

She has performed in several local stage productions such as "Olemi's Passage" (1992), You Can Lead A Horse To Water (2006) and The Children's Teeth (2008) all directed by Philip Burrows for Ringplay Productions; "If You Were Joseph" (2002) directed by local playwright/poet/author Michael Pintard and most recently (September 2010) played the lead character in the highly-esteemed Bahamian play "Woman Take Two" written by Telcine Turner .

Along with her film group BIFG, she directed, her first 17 minute shortfilm "Full Circle" (2007) and also casted for their half hour film "Changes" (2008) which currently runs on the local tv station ZNS. Her film acting credits include the aforementioned "Changes", the feature film "Rain" (2007) by Bahamian filmmaker Maria Govan (which presently runs on Showtime), the film The Incident by playwright/English lecturer Ian Strachan (yet to be released) and most recently "Wind Jammers" by filmmakers Ric Von Maur & Kareem Mortimer.

Theodore Elyett

Hot off the runway of the 3rd edition of Islands of the World Fashion Week; Fashion Designer Theodore Elyett was recently featured in VOGUE ITALIA's The Black Blog!

He's the champion of Runway To Fashion Week Designer Competition, the recipient of the 2010 Harl Taylor Fashion Scholarship, an award winning gown and costume designer for the Miss Bahamas Pageant and the 2005 recipient of The Bahamas' Ministry of Youth's JA- Recognition of Excellence for outstanding achievement in Fashion Design and Entrepreneurial Skills -- 26 year old Theodore E. Sealy is the successful Founder/President of Theodore Elyett Productions® and the CEO/National Director of Theodore Elyett’s Miss Teen Bahamas® Beauty Pageant. 

His fashion portfolio dates back to 1998 when he emerged as a 13 year old award winning designer. Since then, he has built a portfolio in Nassau, New York and Toronto, Canada which has encompassed Fashion Design & Apparel Production, Fashion Illustration, Fashion Show Production/Management and Beauty Pageant Production/Management. Theodore E. Sealy graduated Kingsway Academy in 2002, Cambridge International College of Canada in 2003, and began tertiary studies at Ryerson University Toronto, Canada in the fall of 2003. His design label is: Theodore Elyett.
