with TaDa is a weekly one-hour radio show covering Issues, interviews
and introspection related to the developing and emerging arts and
entertainment industries of the Bahamas.
This
Saturday, February 26th at 8am
tune in to
ArtOvation with
GUEST HOST,
Ras'Deniro
on Star 106FM. This
week's show promises to be an exciting and heated conversational debate
on whether the developing new music and entertainment industries in The
Bahamas are up to par with international competitors.
Hosted by
Ras'Deniro entertainment industry executives TaDa & PJ Douglas Sands
will face-off with critics Rayne Heastie and Macarra Fowler. The last
half hr of the show will welcome callers.
Macarra has
been in the Customer Service field for more than 6 years. Beginning her
career at The Bahamas’ leading commercial bank, she was haphazardly
introduced to the Hospitality and Tourism Field. She began at The Five
Star Grand Isle Resort and Spa in Great Exuma, Bahamas where she served
as Concierge for 3 years. She is currently employed with The Bahama Out
Island Promotion Board as [its youngest] Membership Development
Coordinator. A passion and flair for writing has always been the fire
that kept her burning. While other little girls were playing with dolls
and playing house, Macarra was busy working on her newest poem, short
story and/or play which she looked forward to performing for her eager
parents. A seasoned makeup artist with a degree from The Cosmix School
of Makeup Artistry [in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida], a new online blog,
“Don’t Catch Feelings” that’s been described as “addictive, hilarious
and relatable”, a Bachelor’s Degree in Tourism Management on the way and
a major-production play in the works, Macarra is far from over!
Rayne A. Heastie is a young Bahamian student in her
third year at the College of The Bahamas. In Spring of 2012 she will
obtain her Bachelor's Degree in Psychology with intentions of traveling
abroad to complete her Master's and Doctoral degree in the sub
discipline of Industrial and Organizational Psychology. Rayne currently
attends the College full-time while maintaining a part-time job as a
sales representative at F.Y.P (Fix Your Place). Her hobbies are
reading, particularly books or articles about ancient Egypt and Greek
mythology, and writing and editing papers on various topics. Upon the
completion of her educational studies, Rayne intends to obtain a
position in the department of Human Resources at an organization in The
Bahamas or abroad while simultaneously providing consultation services
in a private practice that she intends to develop. Rayne also has hopes
of lecturing at a university where she can educate students about the
fields of Industrial and Organizational Psychology and Human Resources.
