Kindred spirits are destined to connect regardless of time, or space, and this was the case of Sheyladow, and G Cole. Busy promoting his latest album “Ocho Rios” G Cole had no idea that a part of his musical destiny was in his audience, enjoying his message. Sherry Downing came out to her first reggae show, with her friend Rodney.  She was an international student from Honduras, out for a night of fun and entertainment, she enjoyed the show so much, that when she got home, she immediately went to iTunes, and downloaded the album.

Meanwhile in Honduras, Sheyladow, one half of the duo SherrySheyla was putting the finishing touches to her first solo project, her producers kept telling her “there’s something missing”, but they couldn’t quite put their finger on it. One evening she was relaying her quandary to her sister Sherry, and Sherry had an idea, “what about a Reggae song”?

Still high from the show she went to the night before, she sent the G Cole album to Sheyla to take a listen, and before long she was on a plane headed for Miami. As fate would have it, Sherry’s friend Rodney had met G Cole before via a mutual friend, and reached out to him, due to the hectic schedule  promoting the album “Ocho Rios” Sheyla had to extend her stay for a couple weeks, for her and G Cole to connect, the wait however, was well worth it, as they connected, and became instant friends.

To make sure her wait was worth it, G Cole reached out to Grammy nominated producer Jason J-Vibe Farmer, who had produced most of the album “Ocho Rios”, knowing that if anyone could help bring this project to life it would be J-Vibe.

One evening soon after, Sheyla, G Cole, and some friends were at his studio having a conversation about the differences between the sexes; the way guys thought, versus the way girls thought. Later that night when G Cole was left alone with his thoughts, he began to write, and the song was born, the next day He played his demo for Sheyla, and asked her for her thoughts, once she wrote her point of view, the spell was cast, and what they had was not just a smooth blend of their voices, or just a great writing collaboration, but pure magic. Watch the documentary, and the video.
