Freeport, Bahamas - Erika Gates, proprietor or the Garden of the Groves recently made a
presentation of a special gift to Barbara Chester, founder of the Grand
Bahama Labyrinth. The gift was a painting commissioned by a dear friend
of Barbara's, internationally acclaimed artist, Claudette Dean
Barbara writes, "It was an enormous honour and with great joy that I was able to
follow my path and create a Labyrinth in the Garden of the Groves. I have been very blessed with enormous loving guidance from my
Creator, help and support from my friends and fellow members of our
Community and especially from my dear friend Erika Gates , in whose
Gardens our Labyrinth has her home."
"This lasting symbol (the Labyrinth) of peace and love marks not
only our friendship and partnership , but also a partnership with
creation and our Divine Creator for all who Walk the Sacred Path in the
beautiful Garden of the Groves; it is the heart of Grand Bahama."
"In this commission, Claudette has painted her first
portrait. She has paid me a very great honour and has, I believe,
painted with her brushes and her heart."
"I also have to thank dear Anita and Bernard Osman, of 'Bahamian
Tings', Freeport, for the lovely frame to Claudette's manifestation of
Erika's gift," she continues.
"I have been truly blessed, once again, and am reminded that there
are only and always blessings connected with the Labyrinth."
Peace on the Path!
