Air Services – Bahamas Top FBO

FORT LAUDERDALE – This past Thursday, representatives of the Bahamas Ministry of Tourism and Aviation (BMOTA), led by its Deputy Director General, Mr. Ellison “Tommy” Thompson, conducted a special tour of Banyan Air Services’, 88 acres facility in Fort Lauderdale. The team, made up of the BMOTA vertical and aviation department members, also used the opportunity to present, to Banyan’s executives, gift bags as a token of appreciation for their support to The Bahamas.  Each gift bag contained a Bahamas Gateway FBO shirt, hat, cup, towel and key chain.  The BMOTA began working with Banyan more than twenty years ago, and today it is its largest Fixed Based Operator (FBO), sending hundreds of pilots to its 40+ airports, each year.  The one stop entity, which commenced operations 39 years ago, has also been voted South East Florida’s number one FBO for the past 10 consecutive years, and assist pilots with Bahamas travel services including aircraft registration and logistics for customs and immigration approvals, fuel, aircraft sales, engine maintenance, avionics installation and hanger parking.
