Fort Lauderdale, FL - Golf tour operators from around the globe were eager to find out more about golfing in The Islands of The Bahamas at the 10th IAGTO North American Golf Tourism Convention (NAC) recently. The NAC attracted nearly 200 golf tour operators and was held at the Trump National Doral Miami country club in Miami, Florida.

IAGTO is the global trade organization for the golf tourism industry, which comprises of 2438 accredited golf tour operators, golf resorts, hotels, golf courses, receptive operators, airlines, tourist boards, approved media and business partners in 95 countries including, at its core, 652 specialist golf tour operators in 62 countries.

It is estimated that IAGTO operators control some 87% of international golf holiday packages sold worldwide and in 2017 they carried 2 million golfers with a turnover of more than USD 2.5 billion.

The NAC was open only to golf resorts, golf clubs, hotels, ground handlers and other golf tourism suppliers from the USA, Canada, Mexico, Latin America and the Caribbean.
