WEST END, Grand Bahama Island - Florida residents, Lenny Piciullo and Deborah Faust were sailing over to the US Virgin Islands earlier in the week with plans of getting married. However, they were shipwrecked off of West End, losing all of their valuables.

The Grand Bahama Ministry of Tourism sought to bring relief to the distressed couple and organized a wedding at Old Bahama Bay on Friday, February 13th.

Fritz Bridal provided their wedding attire and for wedding rings, they used string adorned with a shell.  Pastor Leslie Woodside conducted a short ceremony. Standing up for the couple was best man and West End resident, Keith Cooper and maid of honour was his wife, Linda Barry-Cooper.

The couple expressed their gratitude to Jackie Carroll of Old Bahama Bay;  and the Ministry of Tourism team, in particular Betty Bethel and Rosalyn Pinder for the wonderful Bahamian hospitality. Despite their heavy loss, their wedding became a reality.
