Star Model Management will host the first official selection for a Bahamas representative to Manhunt International 2012 which will be held in Bangkok, Thailand.

"The Ultimate Girls Night Out!"   Manhunt Bahamas will be the door opening for the young Bahamian who wants to pursue a career in the professional world of modeling.

Pedro Mejias was born and raised in our tropical paradise, our nation’s capital and considers himself to be a real “Island boy”, one who is in love with everything about The Bahamas, from our rich and diverse culture to our sumptuous delicacies like his two favorite’s, peas & rice and guava duff. As the youngest of three boys, he has had to learn how to stand out and be noticed and that is the way that he lives his life, his interests and of course his endearing and charming personality helps him to do just that.

Since graduating from C.R. Walker Secondary school, he continued his education at Synergy Bahamas expanding his knowledge of Computer Systems and Repair and is presently the manager of a family owned barber shop in Cable Beach. He balances his time, cutting hair, working on computers, dj-ing and free lance modeling which not only earns him an income but helps to keep him busy with the things that he loves while continuing to perfect his talents.

In his spare time he enjoys some of the typical Bahamian past times, like spending time on the beach, socializing with friends at the various hot spots in Nassau and going to the movies to catch as many horror flicks as he can. Pedro says “I also have a more sporty side to me that is very much into jogging and roller-blading.” As a fitness enthusiast, he tries his best to keep fit with a regular regime that includes going to the gym and working out as often as he can to maintain the body that he has worked so hard to preserve.

Pedro has always been a dreamer and a go-getter and in his future, he sees being very successful and touring the world and becoming a great ambassador for his country. He would love to some day attend acting school, and one day be in the ranks of Will Smith, The Rock, or of course the pioneer himself Sir Sidney Poitier. He feels like would not be complete without a loving wife and children.

A thrill seeker and an adventure enthusiast, he would one day like to check sky-diving off of his bucket list. His motto is “Be that best that you can and whatever you set out to do, and never say never.”

These words are the blueprint to his life and to what will give him the bright and successful future that he desires to have.
