Star Model Management will host the first official selection for a Bahamas representative to Manhunt International 2012 which will be held in Bangkok, Thailand.

Manhunt Bahamas contestant , Philip Cooper was born and raised in Nassau, Bahamas by a single parent, his mother, Deanka Edward.  He quickly realized the importance of the struggle and appreciation of the smaller things in life.

He started playing golf at the age of nine, and set two records for the country, being the first junior golfer to shoot the lowest scores ever posted in junior nationals and the first junior to ever beat the entire contingent in the Bahamas.  This afforded him the opportunity of a full golf scholarship to a division one university, "Alabama State University".   For which he gives God all the glory.

Nonetheless he started modeling at the age of 17 and has not stopped since.   Philip modeled all through college, also tying in his other passion which is singing.  This afforded him the name the, "singing golfer", wherever he went throughout the world.  He achieved his BSBA and worked in the US of A with his OPT, then moved back home.

Philip landed a job as a management trainee with Bank of the Bahamas International and worked his way up to a private banker and a business banker, in which he was able to help people from all walks of life.  For this calling he gives God thanks.

Some of Philip’s modeling experience include, National Designer of the Year; Coles of Nassau fashion shows wearing designers such as Hugo Boss and Motley for Men; The Walk Off 2012, Islands Of The World Fashion Showcase 2012, BTC Starmaker 2012, where he was afforded the name "The Bahamian Usher", and (ITS) International Talent Show Case in Boca Raton Florida, July 2012. Philip placed top five in the three categories he entered in at ITS, which was singing, modeling, and acting.

He wants to make his mom proud as well as the Bahamian people at large.  He is a child from the grass roots of East Street and Flamingo Gardens and a graduate of R. M. Bailey Senior. He would also like to give props to his brothers of Kappa Alpha Psi, Bahamas Alumni chapter and to his brothers & sisters of Phi Beta Lambda Professional Business Fraternity Inc.  Philip says “God is so good to me.  He has used me to be an example; to God be the glory".
