Ross University Dominica students preview Grand Bahama facility

Freeport, Grand Bahama Island - Ross University Bahamas will play host to approximately 200 students from their Dominica campus  Thursday, July 16th to Sunday, July 19th. Students from Ross University in Dominica who are considering schooling in The Bahamas have been invited to experience Grand Bahama first-hand and will have the opportunity to receive an in-depth orientation of academic life, have a tour of the campus and learn about the island; all the while being hosted by students and faculty from The Bahamas. They will also visit the Rand Hospital and preview housing options.

Half of the students arrived by charter plane on Thursday, and a second group by charter on Friday.
 
President of Ross University, Dr. Thomas C. Shepherd and Sandi Cutler, Vice President Planning and Business Development will be on hand to help welcome the students. 
 
Ross University aims to give the visiting students the best possible educational experience while on Grand Bahama for this short time.

Ross University was founded in 1978 and is a provider of medical and veterinary education offering doctor of medicine and doctor of veterinary medicine degree programs. The School of Medicine is located in Dominica, West Indies, and the Freeport, Grand Bahama campus recently opened in January 2009. The School of Veterinary Medicine is located in St. Kitts.
