Nassau, Bahamas - On the occasion of the 108th China Import and Export Fair, The Bahamas
Chamber of Commerce, The Embassy of People's Republic of China in the
Commonwealth of The Bahamas, and the China Foreign Trade Center requests
the pleasure of your company at the Promotional Conference and
Luncheon.
The China Import and Export Fair is a biannual event
held in Guangzhou every spring and autumn, with a history of 53 years
since 1957. The Fair is a comprehensive one with the longest history,
the highest level, the largest scale, the most complete in exhibit
variety, the broadest distribution of overseas buyers and the greatest
business turnover in China.
48 Trading Delegations, being
composed of more than twenty thousand of China's best foreign trade
corporations (enterprises) with good credibility and sound financial
capabilities, take part in the Fair, including foreign trade companies,
factories, scientific research institutions, foreign invested
enterprises, wholly foreign-owned enterprises, private enterprises, etc.
The Fair leans to export trade, though import business is also done at
the Fair.
The Chamber is happy to host along with the Embassy a
delegation from the China Foreign Trade Center (CFTC), inclusive of the
Director General Mr. Wang Zhiping. There will be an official signing of a
trade cooperation agreement between The Chamber and The CFTC at 10:30am
followed by the workshop. In attendance to bring official remarks will
be the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, The Hon.
Brent Symonette, as well as the Chinese Ambassador, His Excellency Hu
Dingxian.
The Promotional Conference and Luncheon will
be held on Monday September 6th, 2010 at 11:00a.m. at the Sheraton
Nassau Beach Resort (Salon C: Independence Ballroom).
