Bahamas Chamber Team and Home Builders Show team up for the ‘Green Forum’

Nassau, Bahamas - On October 25, 2013 the 2013 Bahamas Home and Builders Show & Energy Expo, co-sponsored by the Bahamas Chamber of Commerce and Employers’ Confederation, will begin a three-day expo, with the first day dedicated to “The Green Economy” at the Wyndham Nassau Resort (Baha Mar).

The 2013 Bahamas Home and Builders Show & Energy Expo will showcase 50 exhibitors ranging from construction to and renovation supplies to energy saving technologies. The Green Forum will give business owners, professionals and members of the general public a chance to learn more about the Green Economy from industry experts - including representatives from the Bahamas Technical and Vocational Institute, the Bahamas Electricity Corporation, and CHINET.  Topics will include Energy Audits, Green Renovations, Funding Green Projects and Understanding Appliance Labels.

The green economy focuses on sustainability and longevity of our environment and has implications on the environment, society and economy. Hot button topics within green energy include renewable energy, alternatives to fossil fuels and energy conservation

All persons registered for the Green Forum will receive free admission to the evening’s Opening Ceremony to be held from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the Wydham.  Please see the daily schedule listed below.

Friday October 25th, 2013: 8:30 a.m. – 5 p.m. (Green Forum)
Friday October 25th, 2013: 7 p.m. – 9 p.m. (Opening Ceremony)
Saturday October 26th, 2013: 10 a.m. - 6 p.m. (Exhibition Showcase)
Sunday October 27th,2013: 10 a.m. – 6 p.m. (Exhibition Showcase)

* Green Forum Cost : $20 (lunch not included); $45 (lunch included)*
* Exhibit Entrance Fee: $2 per day
