Captains of Industry Awards set for July 1st

Nassau, Bahamas - The Bahamas Chamber of Commerce and Employers Federation presents the 2011  Captains of Industry Awards to be held on Friday, July 1st at the British Colonial Hilton at 7pm.

Sir Durward will be honoured with a Lifetime Achievement Award.

Other nominees in that category were: Marvin Bethell, Norbert Boissiere, Roy Bowe, Sir Garret Finlayson, Sir Sol Kerzner, Sir Durward Knowles, Billy Lowe, Judy Munroe, Diane Philips and Cedric Saunders.

Nominees in the Business of the Year (more than 50 employees) category are: Abaco Markets, Arawak Homes and Builders Mall.

Business of the year (less than 50 employees) nominees include: Coin of the Realm, Ports International and ZipX Bahamas.

Businessperson of the year will be selected from Elizabeth Covington (Tommy Hilfiger), Jason Kinsale (Balmoral Development), Stephen Greenslade (ICS) and Vivien Eldon (Splash Dance)

Entrepreneur of the year nominees are: Ethan Quant (Progressive Consumer Services) and Charles Kemp/Allan Rolle/Chairo Munroe (Chalmuns).
