Chamber Institute Presents: "Managing Conflict in Today’s Workplace"

Nassau, Bahamas - Today’s workplace can be very challenging: managing emotions, stress, work life balance, inter-generational conflicts, employee-manager relations and so much more. As a supervisor, department head, human resource professional, office manager, or business owner you share the responsibility of maintaining a harmonious workplace and protecting the safety of all in your organization. 

The Chamber Institute invites you to come and participate in its next workshop,  "Managing Conflict in Today’s Workplace."  This event will be held on September 15, 2010 at 9:00am - 4:00pm at
Bahamas Chamber of Commerce office located Collins Avenue, Shirley Street.  The  facilitator will be Ms. Cherrylee Pinder and you can view her profile by selecting the link below.

This one-day workshop will identify types and causes of conflict, conflict resolution styles, resolving client conflicts, and how company policies and procedures can increase safety and reduce conflict at work.

By the end of this session, participants will be able to:

• Identify types and causes of conflict.
• Identify conflict resolution styles.
• Demonstrate practical approaches to resolving various types of conflict at work.
• Recognize causes of conflict and stressors at work.
• Discuss the role of management in conflict.
• Write sample policies and procedures in particular with employee disciplinary procedures and termination that promote safety.

Seating is limited so early registration is recommended. Please complete the attached registration form and return it with your payment to The Bahamas Chamber of Commerce by September 13, 2010.

Admission to the workshop is $200.00 for Chamber/BECon Members and $240.00 for Non Members. *A limited time discount of $50.00 per participant

is available to all companies registering a group of two or more at the same time.  *NB: To receive the group discount, 2 or more employees from the same business must register for the class and submit their registration forms with payment together as a group. The Chamber of Commerce MUST receive all registration forms and payments on or before September 13, 2010.
