“Human Beings Are Emotional Creatures First, Rational Creatures Second.” David Julio Wang.

Emotions are a part of our everyday existence; they are the seedlings of our behavior.  Research suggests that all decisions originate in emotions. How we feel affects our state-of-mind, our performance, health and energy. Considering the influence that our emotions have on the selection and quality of our actions, there is a critical need for emotions to be managed.

Large or small, organizations are emotional places, using various emotional strategies to motivate employees’ performance and increase personal job-satisfaction. Emotions do not just effect organizations; they also play a role in their overall structure. Left unmanaged, however, emotions can negatively influence employees' reaction to pressure, leading to stress, low productivity and creating conflicts in the workplace.

On Tuesday January 17th, 2012 at 9am - 4pm. The Chamber Institute will offer this dynamic session facilitated by Michelle M. Miller.  This program, originally priced at $249 per participant, has been reduced to our Winter Training rate of $149 BCCEC members and $199 non BCCEC members and will be held at Chamber of Commerce Main Board Room.
