Freeport, The Bahamas - The Grand Bahama Chamber of Commerce held a highly successful and well attended free Economic Development Summit on June 10th at the Pelican Bay Resort's Canal House under the theme  "Creating a Sustainable Economy."

The Bahamas Weekly is pleased to present herewith the first of a series of video segments from the summit. This first segment is the presentation delivered by Mr. Greg Ebelhar COO, Polymers International as he discusses the topic, Problems facing industrial investors on Grand Bahama Island. Mr. Ebelhar summarizes those challenges as being; The high cost of power, Education, Accountability and what he terms as 'The murky future of the Grand Bahama Port Authority'




The Summit unveiled the survey of several forums held that gathered information from various sectors on their views concerning the issues they felt are impeding the growth of the Grand Bahama economy.  The Bahamas Weekly will be providing full video coverage in a soon to come video release and article.
