Nassau, The Bahamas - International wealth coach, author and serial entrepreneur Keshelle Kerr Davis has been recognized as this year’s Bahamas Icon Award winner in the Area of Commerce.

The award comes after several years of outstanding achievements for Davis who has been presented at events in England, the United States, Caribbean, a featured presenter for popular reality television stars and the main speaker at the Les Brown Institute. The award committee focused on Davis’ outstanding contributions as a businesswoman, master trainer, author, and consultant.

Davis is also the founder, and CEO of the Training Authority and the former Executive Director of the Bahamas Chamber Institute, the education arm of the Bahamas Chamber of Commerce. Teaching business is a family affair as her husband Glen Davis is the head of department of Business at the University of The Bahamas.

“As someone who works tirelessly to translate my skills and passions into success for the Bahamian community, I am deeply honored and humbled to receive such a monumental recognition,” said Davis. “Now joining the ranks of our country’s most inspiring individuals, I look forward to many more years of projects and collaboration with our Bahamian community.”

Constantly importing the best minds in business and financial development from around the world, Davis has exposed Caribbean professionals and entrepreneurs to business leaders including Bill Walsh, Sharon Lechter, Tina Alton and Camilita Nuttell of the United Kingdom, and Brigitta Hoeferle of Germany,

In 2015, while serving as the youngest female appointed to the Bahamas Chamber of Commerce Board as well as the first female Executive Director of the Bahamas Chamber Institute, Keshelle led VAT implementation training workshops throughout the country’s business community and facilitated VAT town hall meetings in various communities. In this one year, she almost doubled the revenue for previous years by taking that division’s income into the six-figure range – a 105% increase since its inception.

By 2016, she was recognized in the Top 40 under 40 by the Professional Services Bahamas organization, a second of such honor and features on the cover of Global Woman Magazine in the UK in 2017.
