Nassau, Bahamas – Charlotte Knowles Thompson Agency was established after a traumatic, life-changing event, that warranted personal research to ensure my children would attend college.  In 2015, after many requests, I established a free support system to help others find scholarships to attend universities locally and internationally.  I created a page on Facebook called 'Say Yes to Scholarship Bahamas'.  On this page I post advice for parents and students  about the scholarship season that happens every year from January to April.  During this time, students are advised on: how and when to apply for scholarships relevant to their course of study, how to create a portfolio to support their submission, how to write a strong essay, how to complete their application and where to request reference letters.  Typically, independant benefactors award the scholarship based on the students' overall cumulative GPA, community service,  and their involvement in school and church activities.  Before scholarship season begins in January, students are advised on the best university to apply to based on the above criteria.  I have partnered with universities in the United States and Canada who will award not only international scholarships, but academic, athletic, theatre and in some cases they will make extra allowances if I lobby on behalf of the student.

Students who are entering grade 12 at the beginning of the Fall academic year should be applying for college acceptance beginning as early as September so they can have their letter of acceptance in time for the start of scholarship season.  At present, through my partnerships, I am offering free applications, huge discounts and full scholarship to two universities.  Students who are looking for assistance are free to join my scholarship FaceBook group for free support.
