CruiseOne ® and Cruises Inc. ® during a national travel conference aboard the Norwegian Escape, partnered with the Sandals Foundation to donate school supplies to Bahamian children as part of Pack for a Purpose®. Independent Vacation Specialists who participated in this fundraiser donated close to 500 pounds of school supplies that will be distributed to schools across the Bahamas.

Education and community are two important pillars of the Sandals Foundation and the mission of Pack for a Purpose is to positively impact communities around the world by assisting travelers who want to make meaningful contributions to the destinations they visit. The partnership between the Sandals Foundation and Pack For A Purpose was therefore an easy fit.

“I am personally committed to using my business to give back to the communities where I work and travel,” said Debby Corwin, CruiseOne ® and Cruises Inc. ® independent vacation specialist. “I was excited to find and share Pack for a Purpose with my colleagues, and I was overwhelmed by their desire to participate! Several of them are retired educators and told me that this initiative was very dear to their hearts."

The Sandals Foundation’s education initiative supports numerous schools in Exuma and New Providence, as well as many schools across the Caribbean where Sandals Resorts International operates.

Pack For A Purpose’s education initiative supports more than 520 education projects around the world including schools, after-school programs and libraries.

The Sandals Foundation has partnered with Pack for a Purpose in the Caribbean to positively impact communities by assisting visitors when they want to take much needed school supplies to support educational initiatives in the region.
