Slide show: DNA Clean-Up Campaign in Centerville‏

The DNA Centerville Association Branch hosted a clean up campaign today, Saturday 23rd April,2016 from 8am -12pm through Strachan's Corner off East Street.

For the past 4 years the residents of Strachan's Corner have been asking the Member Of Parliament for the constituency, also the Prime Minister Mr. Perry Christie to clean this particular property. Over the past several years the garbage has generated rats and snakes, a large build up trash which also includes old furniture. Residents are concerned about kids playing outside in the area and rodents eventually entering their homes. They've stated that they asked Mr. Christie several times to assist with the clean up of the property. They asked for him to provide a dumpster and residents would be more than happy to clean it themselves; nevertheless, they got no response from him. We cry SHAME on Mr. Christie.

The Democratic National Alliance Centerville Association has taken the initiative to plan several clean up campaigns throughout the constituency. Strachan's Corner being the first. With the help of our Women's Alliance, Men's Alliance and the Young Democrats along with persons in the community.
