Dr. Colin Archer Launches the Investing in Being Human Website

Nassau, Bahamas - Dr. Colin Archer, ordained Christian Minister and Psycho-theologian, held a press release last week at The Chapter One Book Store, for the release of his new website www.investinginbeinghuman.com. The website went live on Monday, March. 4th, 2013, and showcasing his most recent commercial starring the sensational Greg Lampkin. The intent of this website was built as a new expansive way to bridge the gap between generations; using years of research as a counselor to address critical issues in today's society. Dr. Archer’s concepts and teachings are now accessible to people within our online communities.

Friends and families gathered to congratulate Dr. Archer in his new venture. At the reception Dr. Archer navigated through his website for his guests, displaying its user-friendly functionality. The website consists of weekly inspirational quotes & podcast- containing audio, and video of his life-long lessons as a Psych-theologian. In addition, there is a page of Dr. Archer’s most inner personal thoughts, letters, poems and statements to society over the many years, labeled ‘Letters & Other Messages from the Heart’.

For those who are interested in learning more about his publications, there is a short introductory video of each product (found under the ‘Store’ menu), allowing readers to grasp an idea of the content that each book/audio cd holds.

For Colin Archer, investing in being human, and investing in people, is his core interest. He believes with other like minds, that we are not human beings trying to be spiritual but spiritual beings trying to be human. Being human is a spiritual enterprise as spiritual activity represents the best of things human.

The event ended with Chapter One thanking Dr. Archer for his contribution to society, and for allowing him to allow Chapter one to partake in the event as he embarks on his journey of reaching the wider public, through the world wide web. 

Dr Colin Archer is an ordained Christian Minister and Psycho-theologian, who at an early age he realized a keen sensitivity for the poor, homeless and dispossessed in relation to church and society. He served as Psychotherapist at a psychiatric hospital in Nassau, Bahamas for many years. Having witnessed the devastating effects of illicit drugs and alcoholism in his country, he became founding president of The Bahamas Council on Alcoholism. He later established a half-way house for recovering victims of alcohol abuse and a home for battered women through Methodist Community & Church Ministries.

His theology speaks of a wide range of issues such as: spirituality, depression, interpersonal relationships, cultural challenges, suicide, and the body-emotions-spirit-intellectual matrix. Dr Archer has served on many committee and boards including, among others: Food and Hunger; Research and Ethics; Howard Thurman Pilgrims; Antiquities & Monuments; Breast Cancer; National Drug Council. He is currently the Author of five (5) books, due to launch his sixth book, Foundation 7 Formation, due to be released in Spring of 2013.
