Nassau, Bahamas – As our country mourns the death of one of its finest sons, Dr. Myles Munroe, along with his wife RuthAnn, Senior V.P. Dr. Richard Pinder, Youth Pastors, Lavard and Radell Parks their son Johannan, Pilots Stanley Thurston, Farkhan Cooper and a visitor; Mount Tabor Church and Global United Fellowship join our fellow Bahamians, the international diplomatic community and Christian believers in mourning this most tragic loss.

As Presiding Bishop of Global United Fellowship, I am personally pained by the passing of Dr. Myles, and members of his team. Dr. Myles embodied the biblical principles of living a purpose-filled life.  Many of our almost six hundred churches, ministries and fellowships scattered throughout nineteen countries and four continents have in some way been touched by his life and ministry.

As a fellow Bahamian, Dr. Munroe and I maintained a close brotherhood, as we both simultaneously pioneered and pastored distinct local ministries which both emerged as major players on the international and global stage.  I was proud of how The Lord was using this “Bain Town Boy” to transform and influence the political, social and governmental entities around the world.

The Global United Family in general, and The Mount Tabor Church Family specifically, join Patrice and me, in offering our prayers and support for Bahamas Faith Ministries and the many international connections over which Pastor Myles had oversight.

It is during these times of immense testing that the message of our faith reminds us of our call to serve, and renews our confidence that God is sovereign and controls every step of our lives.

I am confident that The Lord will continue and complete the work that He allowed Dr. Munroe to begin.
