Organizers are in the final stages of producing the 3rd annual premier event for male models in the Bahamas, Manhunt Bahamas, which is scheduled for Sunday, October 12, 2014 in the ballroom at Superclubs Breezes. 12 models in total will be competing for 3 titles – Manhunt Bahamas 2014, Mister Bahamas 2014 and the introduction of Manhunt Bahamas Jr.

Judging an event of this magnitude is no small task, and the organizers have selected a team of local professionals to do just that – following the criteria enforced at the international level our winners will be determined after competing in personality, casual wear, swimwear and formal wear. Contestants are judged on catwalk and runway skills; photogenic ability; physical attributes; and personality.

Let’s meet the professionals faced with this task:

KEDAR Clarke - with a diversified background in the fashion, entertainment and marketing industries, Kedar has always been cognizant of the power of image and branding. Through merging his skills in marketing and image consultancy, he’s developed a unique way of transforming each client’s appearance into a noteworthy and attractive brand.

As an image consultant, he’s also worked with over 200 notable entities, including corporate and government individuals, musicians, international models, fashion houses, photographers, music videos sets, runway shows and ad campaigns. Kedar sees each person as a “brand” and ensures that each client’s image communicates to the world, the ideal version of themselves!

JAVOTTE Bethel - Award winning fashion designer/Artist Javotte Bethell has maintained her place in the fashion industry as a trend setter for 20 years. Her name has become synonymous with luxurious bridal wear and haute couture.

Born and raised in The Bahamas and educated at the International Fine Arts College in Miami, Florida, she holds an Associate of Arts Degree in Commercial Art and Graphic Design. She is the proud daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Francina Andrew Bethell, who contributed to her fascination with Fine Arts and Visionary Design. She is an adoring mother to two gorgeous children, Jayvan and Trinity.

Javotte pursued her love for fashion by introducing the world to Javotte’s House of Couture, which specialises in evening wear, bridal gowns and costume design. A passionate artist known for her sumptuous and visionary creations and exquisite tastes, Javotte is recognised in The Bahamas as one of the leading fashion designers. Her designs, which are known to very fashion forward, have graced several Miss Bahamas Universe contestants and winners.

ANISHKA Lockhart - Is no stranger to pageantry, runway and commercial modeling. She has graced many catwalks in The Bahamas and has appeared in television commercials and ad campaigns for a number of clients. She is also the Director and Owner of Miss Bahamas Teenager beauty pageant. Professionally, Anishka holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration with a Minor in Finance, which she puts to good use as a professional entrepreneur. However, she continues to express her love for the world of pageantry in her role as the Director for the Teen Division with the Miss Bahamas Organization. Anishka is the proud mother of her amazing 9 years old daughter, Aysha-Cassidi Lockhart.

TOMII Culmer - was born in the Bahamas on the island of Grand Bahama. She is a model, spokesperson, television host and Miss Universe Bahamas 2014. She obtained the title in New Providence on August 3rd 2014 after months of intense mental and physical training.

Tomii is the last of four kids born to Jackie Frazer a breast & lung cancer survivor. Culmer is a graduate of St. George’s High School where she studied Carpentry & Joinery and later went on to study Automotive Technology at BTVI in Grand Bahama. Tomii “the tomboy” is known as one of the Bahamas’ top models. She has been the face of brands such as Myo-Genesis, Hardour Collection & BTC. Tomii has appeared in local and international fashion shows and publications such as Project Runway Latin America, Profiles 98, Nu Woman Magazine, Islands of the World Fashion Week, Stylezine Magazine & Saint George Fashion House. She has been the muse of photographers and designers such as Alfred Anderson & Anthea Bullard (Hardour Collection).

DAVID Dion - I am David, model, actor and male director at PTG modeling agency. I moved to New York in 2013 to pursue my career. I have been modeling and acting professionally over seven years. As a model I have done fashion shows, shoots for magazines, ads, and commercials. Some of the fashion shows are Island of the world fashion show, La Rose fashion show and Ray Vincent menswear (New York). Magazines I have been feature in are Nu Women magazine, Brutha magazine, Exlise fashion, Stylezine, Fashion Avenue magazine (New York) and Social Magazine (New York). I am also one of the models for ads campaigns for New York men designer Raymond Brown of “Ray Vincent”, and was a promotional model for BTC. I am sign to Wilhelmina Model Agency in the USA and PTG Models in the Bahamas.

As an actor I have done theater and film…here in the Bahamas and in the US.

WENDI Lewis - This young singer/songwriter will quickly draw you into her world… and keep you there!

She has honed her craft by studying at the most prestigious music school in the world, Berklee College of Music, and along the way has graced stages in South America, The United States and Europe. She has performed for and with the likes of Rodney ‘DarkChild’ Jerkins, Chaka Khan, Gloria Estefan, Jeffrey Osbourne and many others.

Wendi’s take on life, love, womanhood and spirituality are evident by her strong lyrical content, and fearless vocal prowess. When asked about her expectations from her performances, she says, “I just want them to feel me…with their ears; and hear me… with their hearts.”

The final results will be tabulated by Ms. Cherrylee Pinder - TALLY JUDGE and remember the “JUDGES' DECISION IS FINAL”.
