Partnership will help brand reach ambitious goals in year of innovation and technological advancement

Nassau,Bahamas – The Miss Bahamas Organization® (MBO) has a new telecommunications partner. ALIV is now the official mobile network of the Miss World Bahamas Pageant, having entered a 3-year agreement with the nation’s premier pageant organization. The new exclusive partnership reflects the marriage of two nationally recognized brands which are known to be pace setters in their respective fields.

As part of the agreement, this year’s contestants will be given a challenge incorporating an ALIV branded device and/or service. The competition within the competition will be featured in an episode of the Road to the Crown Reality TV series which is back for another season, airing on Our TV beginning July 4. The challenge is designed to showcase the contestants’ ability to be an effective spokesperson – a role that the eventual winner will play as she will be featured in a major ALIV print ad campaign and will serve as an ALIV Spokesperson/Endorsed Talent during her reign.

The community minded mobile network will work closely with MBO to meet is philanthropic mandate. The new Miss World Bahamas will be the face of ALIV’s community outreach programs, and the company will provide meaningful platform support for the new queen’s Beauty with a Purpose project.

This year’s pageant season is expected to be the most innovative yet. MBO is ramping up its mobile app to allow for mass audience participation as for the first time the pageant will be broadcast to an international audience of millions via CaribVision and the world’s largest pageant portal Missosology – a first for pageantry in The Bahamas. Once again, the public will be invited to participate in this year’s pageant by voting for their favorite contestants both leading up to and on the night of the finale. ALIV will help to promote the contestants via a Miss Bahamas Social Media Campaign, allowing the public to follow contestants and vote for their favorites.

MBO President Michelle Malcom described the new relationship as a match made in heaven.

“This partnership with ALIV marks the beginning of a new era of cooperation that will no doubt prove to be beneficial for both entities,” she said. “We look forward to engaging the public in a meaningful way and ALIV will be an integral part of the strategy to do so.”

The 2017 Miss World Bahamas pageant is slated for July 30 and will be held at the Baha Mar Convention Center, Cable Beach. Nine young women are competing under the theme “Metamorphosis”. The winner will travel to China in November to represent The Bahamas in Miss World.
