The Miss Grand Bahama Beauty Pageant Organization was pleased to send Miss Global Bahamas Lashanda Wildgoose to represent and compete in Miss Global International Beauty Pageant which was held in Montego  Bay Jamaica, September 28, 2013. Miss Wildgoose put out an outstanding performance and came 3rd overall as the pageant's 2nd Runner-up. Uganda came 2nd to this year's winner from Singapore, twenty-three-year-old Jody Liu. Miss Global International will be held in Canada in 2014 under the umbrella of its headline sponsor, the Commonwealth Group of Canada.

Some 40 contestants competed for the prestigious  crown  and  title.

Power pageant countries such as  Venezuela, Brazil, China and more competed with our small country, and Miss Wildgoose was also selected by her peers as the 'Most Congenial' contestant.

"This goes to show you we  do not  need to send  our  young ladies  to other countries  to be trained, they can be trained locally and still do well internationally," said Glenn Davis, Miss Global Bahamas franchise owner.

"Miss Grand Bahama contestants/ Miss Global Bahamas are trained  internationally during their process,  when they get there they are ready to compete with confidence," said Davis.
