Nassau, Bahamas -   Just days before she will be off to London to represent The Bahamas at the Miss World Beauty Pageant, Sasha Joyce, Miss World Bahamas, attended a special function for the athletes of Special Olympics.  They were celebrating EKS Day (in honor of Eunice Kennedy Shriver, founder of the Special Olympics Movement) as guest of the U S Ambassador, Hon. Nicole Avant.

Ever since winning the Miss World Bahamas title in May, Sasha has adopted Special Olympics, and has attended all of their events.  Most recently, she organized a fund raising souse-out with all proceeds going to Special Olympics.

The athletes were again thrilled to see their queen, and encouraged her to win, as they did recently at the Special Olympics World Games in Athens this summer.  The Directors of the Movement were truly impressed with the time and effort the queen has taken to support Special Olympics, and felt proud to have been selected to be her favorite charity.
