NASSAU, The Bahamas – The Most Worshipful Prince Hall Grand Lodge of the Commonwealth of The Bahamas is pleased to announce the appointment of its Most Worshipful Grand Master, Past Grand High Priest Leslie M. Dean 33° KYGCH to the position of Most Excellent General Grand Conference Grand High Priest of the General Grand Conference of Grand Chapters, Holy Royal Arch Masons, Prince Hall Affiliation, United States and Bahamas, Inc.

This is indeed an historic occasion as it is the first time a Bahamian has been elected to this high office in the Prince Hall Fraternity, USA and the Bahamas Inc.  The entire Jurisdiction of Prince Hall Masons in the Commonwealth of the Bahamas are especially proud of this momentous accomplishment of our friend of brother, Grand Master Dean.

M.W. Grand Master Dean was initiated into Prince Hall Masonry in 1975 in Long Island, Bahamas at St. Antonatious Lodge #19. After moving to Nassau he was transferred to Royal Eagle Lodge # 1, Prince Hall Affiliated.

During his Masonic Sojourn M.W. Grand Master, Leslie Dean held many titles in Prince Hall Masonry throughout the concordant bodies, to include Grand Eminent Commander in the Everette Wakefield Evans Grand Commandery; Grand Thrice Illustrious Master in the Carl R. Culmer Grand Council and Most Excellent Grand High Priest of Zephaniah A. Bullard Grand Chapter, Holy Royal Arch Masons

M.W. Grand Master Dean’s recent election to the office of Most Excellent General Grand Conference Grand High Priest comes on the heel of him being received as the sixteenth Grand Master of the Most Worshipful Prince Hall Grand Lodge in June of this year.

M.W. Grand Master Leslie Dean has also made history in being the first Prince Hall Mason in The Bahamas and the United States to have held the four positions of M.W. Grand Master, Most Excellent Grand High Priest, Illustrious Grand Thrice Master of Royal and Select Masters and Right Eminent Grand Commander of Knight Templars.

This is indeed a proud moment in Prince Hall Masonry in the Commonwealth of The Bahamas.
