Andros, Bahamas - One of Andros' best kept secrets has been discovered and endorsed by a brand that has set a high standard in the sport of fly fishing since 1865.

Deemed "the biggest name in fly fishing", Orvis is America's oldest mail order outfitter and longest continually-operating fly fishing business is buzzing about one of its newest and exciting collaborations in The Bahamas.

Eva's Bonefishing Lodge is a luxury getaway for anglers in the beautiful settlement of Staniard Creek, Andros, Bahamas.  Surrounded by 12 miles of beautiful, pristine beach, the lodge welcomes everyone from the beach-goer to the professional angler for a down-home Androsian experience with all the amenities fit for even the most exquisite tastes.  It's a touch of simple, natural living with accommodations that show regard for the needs of anglers.  So many anglers have raved about Eva's since it opened its doors just a year ago, that Orvis is now officially backing it with its brand, one of the most outstanding names in the sport.

Jason Edgecombe, Eva's Operations Manager and Booking and Marketing agent said: "It's an honor, because Orvis is such a prestigious brand.  There are nearly 60 Orvis stores in 11 countries around the world.  Eva's addition to the Orvis family demonstrates our commitment to excellent service in world class bonefishing."

Expert fishing guides, born and bred in Andros, knowing the flats like the back of their hand, are always on call for Eva's guests.  They include: Sean Riley, Solomon Murphy, Lavardo Brown and Greg Roberts.  The young boys in the Standiard Creek community are already excited about the addition to Eva's to their area, and can be seen practicing their casting on the wide, open lawn on Eva's property - demonstrating that the sport is in good hands for the future.

The secret to the success of Eva's, having entered the tourist market just a year ago, is Bloneva Saunders, who has spent more than three decades working in the hotel industry in New Providence.  As a little girl growing up in Andros, she made a vow that she neevr wanted to forget this little piece of paradise, and would return to invest one day.  Now, she is living her dream, and her children, all grown professionals, are supporting her in every way they can.

A homely feeling abounds at the lodge, but the first-class service cannot be overlooked as Bloneva applies her wealth of knowledge in the industry to make the visitor experience spectacular.  She prides herself in her service with the hopes that guests will keep returning to an island so large and beautiful that it can be seen from outer space.

In July, Eva's welcomed Jerry Brown, one of the top 50 attorneys in Houston, Texas for a visit.

"My son and I spent three nights and two days at Eva's Bonefish Lodge," he said.  The rooms are cool, clean and comfortable.  The food is gourmet quality, and the staff is attentive and helpful; and of course, the bonefishing is world class.  We can't wait to return."
