Nassau, Bahamas - Bahamian anglers will join forces Saturday July 19 in efforts to eliminate the indigenous lion fish to Caribbean waters and together as a community we can contain the havoc they are causing to our local waters and eco system.

Out West Hospitality Group continues to support the local community with their First Annual Lion Fish Tournament and Cook Off’. Held at one of their downtown restaurants Island Smokehouse in Elizabeth On Bay Plaza.

Out West Hospitality Group has gained the support of local businesses and associations Tourism Bahamas, BREEF, Bahamas Air Sea Rescue Association, Lightbourne Marina and Bahamas National Trust.

With over $5,000 dollars in prizes will be awarded and FREE entertainment for the kids it’s going to be a great day by the bay, not to be missed.

The general public will pay $10 dollars to sample and be educated on how to handle, clean and cook these delicious fish. Included in the cover charge patrons will be able to enjoy scrumptious lion fish dishes, Bahamian sides, a cash bar and vote on their favorite lion fish dish.
