Program Y.E.S. seeks to inspire, empower and train kids this Easter in Nassau

Nassau, Bahamas - The Youth Empowerment Solutions (YES) programme is offering a baseball training camp this Tuesday April 23rd through Friday April 26 in partnership with the Baseball Training Institute of New York.

The programme aims to provide kids and teens, ages 8-16, an adventurous, active and exciting time this Easter break. Further, participants will Be trainee in a broad range of physical, mental and nutritional capabilities to join the path of a great athlete including but not limited to strength and conditioning, speed and agility, skills and drills, and ongoing support via virtual online instruction thereafter.

Spearheaded by Mr. Jerad Darville, head coach of the Showboys Baseball team and founder of the YES programme, in partnership with the international Baseball Training Institute, other coaches in attendance will Be Anthony Melendez, Yesenia Rodriguez, Kenise Darville, Des Gardiner and Bahamian Hall of Famer Bailer Fernander.

“Attending this Baseball Easter camp is a wonderful opportunity for kids to stay active both physically and mentally while learning a great sport,” says Mr. Darville, who also founded the Pinewood Community Garden initiative. “When at this camp, kids get to partake in adventure, healthy fun, personal growth, new friendships and positive memories. The YES programme was founded on these principles to give our children the future they deserve.”

The Baseball camp will take place on the Bankers Field, this Tuesday through Friday, 10am - 3pm. Parents and volunteer coaches are also encouraged to come out and support with an opportunity to become certified baseball coaches at the same time.
