RBDF New Entry Passing Out Parade Held

The Royal Bahamas Defence Force held a Passing out Parade (POP) ceremony for New Entry 53 Woman Entry 22, on Friday 15th April 2016 at Coral Harbour.  On this occasion, the Minister of National Security, the Honourable Dr. Bernard Nottage inspected the parade and delivered a keynote address. The New Entry squad showcased physical training, foot and small arms drill display during the ceremony.

New Entry 53/Woman Entry 22, with a complement of sixty-five (65) males and seventeen (17) females commenced their recruit training exercise on 23rd  January 2016, and together they have completed twelve (12) of rigorous basic military training.  

The training programme covers a variation of parade drills and a curriculum comprising of sixteen (16) disciplines inclusive of professional subjects such as Navigation, Seamanship, Small Arms, First Aid, Firefighting and Communications. The rigorous ‘Swedish’ physical fitness training programme and swimming comprised the bulk of the fitness regimen.
