Now in our 11th year! The Bahamas Weekly is pleased to once again offer FREE summer camp listings for ANYONE / ANYWHERE in The Bahamas! Have Your camp included in our DIRECTORY at no cost!

Summer is a time for children, and we want to ensure your children have a great summer. As a community service, The Bahamas Weekly allows anyone running a Summer Camp in The Bahamas to list their information about their camp viewable to thousands  of our readers each month for FREE.>Get your Camp Info to us NOW! Jun 26th - 30: Bahamas Humane Society Summer Camp, 9am -12noon Monday through Friday at the Bahamas Humane Society Chippingham. $125 for the week. Children learn the basics of animal care and humane treatment. There is an educational portion with books and worksheets and questions and answer sessions with the Humane Society staff and they also have lots of hands on time with the adoption animals. Jun 19 - Jul 7: NAGB Mixed Media Art Camp
, "A Journey Through Time: Telling Our Story Through Art". Give your child a memorable artistic experience that tells our story and inspires them to paint their own. Explore the world of the expressionists and impressionists, paint from observation and sample the wonderfully expressive qualities of abstract art through the lens of Bahamian history. Come with us as we take a walk through through time, using the narratives that artists tell through their work. Watch the story of the Lucayans unfold. Experience the excitement of Independence Day! Jun 19-Aug 18: Nassau Nastics Gymnastics Summer Camp. Come join in the fun and experience the sport of gymnastics in a safe and structured atmosphere!  We are in the Oakesfield Shopping Center and also in the Seagrapes Shopping Center in the east. Classes are Monday – Friday from 9am -2pm. Cost is $85 weekly at the Oakesfield gym and $95 weekly at the Seagrapes gym; lunch not included. Field trip every Friday! Cost not included. Jul 3-14: Conscious Kid's Creative Writing Retreat, Carmichael Road Library.  Designed and Facilitated by Bahamian Children's book author, Educator and Youth Development facilitator Dale Wells-Marshall. Inspires kids to write consciously as a means to growth, expression and self awareness. Will incorporate mind-body connections, artistic expression, musical instruments, rhythm and storytelling, games, field trip, themed days, nature appreciation and self awareness integrated with writing. Surprise community experts on special days. $50.00 per week, includes snacks, but spaces are limited. Jul 3 - 28: FilMAD Summer CampCamp I  - Film, Mime, Art & Craft,  Animation, Drama for Ages 5 - 17 years - $350 (Early Registration June 16th - $275). Students will enjoy activities such as watching and critiquing short and feature films. There will also be classes in acting, make up, set design and animation, along with movement activities such as stepping and mime. Partnered with BETA Camp and The Bahamas Red Cross. Summer doesn't have to be smart OR fun, it can be both! Both sessions also include Bahamas Red Cross Training, Hydroponic Farming, and Art. $85 per week or $250 per 3-week session. Includes field trips, indoor activities, team building, and character development exercises. Soil composting, swimming with wild dolphins, kayaking, cave tours, soil composting, bird watching, snorkeling and more. Registration is $100. Camp includes lunch and all materials. Aug 7-11 Innovative Teen Girls Summer Fun. Designed to empower teen and preteen girls (ages 11-19) to become well-rounded ladies. 9:30 am – 4 pm daily. British Colonial Hilton Hotel on Bay Street  Introducing new creative and innovative concepts aimed at stimulating creative thought and may introduce a new recreational outlet.  Our 1-week hands on training workshop is like no other. Fruit carving concepts, embroidery and tablescape design (which may also be useful for those sitting BJC and BGCSE Family & Consumer Science Exams). Aug. 14 - 18: Annual Summer Transition Camp for Adolescent Girls
presented by S.T.R.A.W. Inc. Center for Young Women. This one week full day camp will include an outward bound life skills training component which will equip, engage and support adolescent girls who will transition from Grade Six (in Primary School) to Grade Seven (in Junior High School). $50.00 for the week, includes all materials.  Seats are limited.
