Nassau, Bahamas - For the third year Festival RumBahamas will be taking over the historic Fort Charlotte for a three day event, February 26th – 28th. The annual festival is an enticing mixture of local, regional and international rum exhibitors, and the event’s signature cocktail is “The Dirty Mule”. One of the key ingredients is the locally produced Barritt’s Ginger Beer, a product of Caribbean Bottling Company (CBC), the local producer of Coca-Cola. For the second year CBC will be a sponsor of the event, and will be introducing a new drink at the festival - Schweppes Grapefruit.

"Festival RumBahamas is thrilled by the support of Coca Cola in creating this unique and exciting event - which seeks to showcase the best of Bahamian hospitality, history and talent,” explains Catherine Chisnall – Festival RumBahamas organizer, and Events by Alexandra rep. “Our signature cocktail, "The Dirty Mule," has fostered an international fan base - and with the best of local ingredients and regional rums - owes its famed "kick" to Barrit's Ginger Beer!"

“The celebration of local and regional rums in the Bahamas has never been as colorful or engaging as Festival RumBahamas” Cara Douglas, Marketing Manager for Caribbean Bottling Company. “It has also proved to be an excellent place for us to highlight the “Art of Mixing”, and this year will be the launching pad for our latest addition to the CBC family – Schweppes Grapefruit. Look out for us all weekend long, sampling and mixing Schweppes Grapefruit.”

Tickets for Festival RumBahamas can be purchased in advance at Premier Cru (Bristol Cellars) - Gladstone Rd., Liquid Courage - Palmdale, and Rum Bahamas Office – Elizabeth Ave. Tickets are $25 (VAT inclusive) per person per day, or $60 for the weekend (3 days).
