Kamalamee Organization Continues to Honour Unsung Heroes

Freeport, Bahamas - Established on the principles of devoted service towards community and country building, The Kamalamee Organization has redefined the way this nation rewards its people. Each year since 2010, the Organization has added new names to the roster of recipients who have charted the national standard of excellence with a tribute concert and a newly added feature: A 14 karat gold embedded Country Development Medallion.

After the inaugural Kamalamee Honours in 2012, the organization has been recognized as an organization with a mission of honouring our unsung heroes. Our mission is to promote greater awareness of our heritage by allowing our past to be rediscovered.

As we prepare to host the second annual Kamalamee Honours on October 27th, 2013 (Heroes Month) at the Regency Theatre, our team is now in preparation mode which can become a very difficult and expensive task.  The Kamalamee team is made up of seven individuals: McMahon Campbell, the Honours Producer and Public Relations Chairman, Karen Ferguson-Bain, the Honours Director and Show Coordinator, Chervita Campbell, Honours Events Coordinator, Lyndah Wells, Lead Photographer, Tamara Delaney, Chief Editor and Script Writer, Chanarve “Navie” McBride, Lead Videographer and Meryl Glinton, Legal Advisor.

The ten honourees who shall be listed publicly this Thursday, will have their profile and group photos taken at The Nandana Resort, a tropical hideaway beyond anything you have ever imagined. Set within an exclusive, gated enclave at West End, Grand Bahama. Nananda Resort is an extravagant and richly-appointed Asian-themed mansion,  a luxurious and exceedingly private oceanfront estate.

The events included in this year's Kamalamee Honours exercise are: The medallion presentation for both 2012 and 2013 honourees, a two-hour Black Tie Tribute Concert and concert after-party.

To see last year's Honourees, visit our Facebook page www.facebook.com/kamalamee or  website www.kamalamee.com.

Our sponsors:  The British Colonial Hotel, Nanada Resort, TheBahamasWeekly.com, Lyndah Wells Photography, YKM Studios and Mouramax.  If you would like to support our efforts email: Info@kamalamee.com

The Kamalamee Honours continues to celebrate everyday people who have changed The Bahamas known and unknown to us; then and now, we honour them, we thank them, we owe them!
