Freeport, Bahama -
For the eighth year in a row, Karazim
organizers Rev. Dr. Raoul Armbrister and Mrs. Karen Armbrister hosted a
Christmas lunch for children in their feeding programme from the West
Grand Bahama district.
"The meaning of 'Karazim' is derived from - the first two letters
of the name - 'Karen', the first initial of 'Raoul', followed by 'a' -
for the alpha, 'z' for the omega, with their focus being - Bringing the
image of God to the World", explained Mrs. Armbrister, who along with
her husband are devoted to reaching out, helping others and spreading
God's word. To watch this dynamic husband and wife team is to see faith
being put into action.
This event which is held at the Chart House restaurant location on
East Sunrise Highway was sponsored for the 4th year by Discovery Cruise
Line. Discovery provided the delicious traditional Christmas meal, with
all the trimmings. Twenty-one of Discovery's staff members,
representing over eleven countries, assisted the ministry by serving
the meals to over one hundred youth and a handful of parents. Also
participating in the programme were sixteen Georgia Southern University
students, who said they were thrilled to be invited and played games
with the children whose ages ranged from babes in arms to high school
age level. The Bahamas Youth Movement, a corp of volunteers led by
President Levar Smith brought greetings to inspire the upcoming
generation.
"We are thrilled to host this annual event", said Rev. Dr.
Armbrister. "We are most grateful that Discovery Cruise Line has once
again partnered with us to bring Christmas cheer to our youth, who
eagerly anticipates this outing at this significant time of year', he
added.
"Discovery Cruise Line is pleased to be a part of this most
worthwhile cause and sends Christmas greetings out to the community of
Grand Bahama Island" stated Yanick Toussaint, Discovery Cruise Line
Representative.
