Grand Bahama Island - The Mighty Oak Foundation presents a grand fundraiser The Grand Masquerade and Treasure Hunt at the Grand Bahama Yacht Club on October 31, 2009 at 6 pm.  Participants, adorned with masks will be given treasure maps  to hunt for prizes falling into four categories, Platinum, Bronze, Gold and Silver. The masks for the hunt will be given to the participants once they enter the gate.  Along with  prizes  from the Treasure Hunt, there will also be a silent auction and numerous consolation prizes. With hors’dourves and complimentary cocktails until 7:30pm, and in the atmosphere of the steel pan drums, this will certainly be an evening of grand entertainment.

The Mighty Oak Foundation was formed through the concept that we are our brother’s keeper.  With that in mind, we began to explore the best way we could help our fellow brothers.  After locating a need, the Foundation intends to assist children in one area of the Eight Mile Rock community by providing food for their school lunches as early as November 2009.

Our goal is to have a functional breakfast program up and running thereafter, similar to what the Black Panther Movement implemented into the public school system in America.  We all know that the Government can not do everything so that is why we want to help. The long term goal is to have a cafeteria built in this community, and the ultimate goal is to have a clothing and feeding centre where young and old can come and be serviced in that fashion.

With your support we begin to make this happen. Enjoy a different Halloween this year, and make a difference by helping feed the children.

Tickets are only $55 and are available at The Awards & Signs Centre. Contact the Mighty Oak Foundation for more information at MightyOakTree@gmail.com  or call for ticket s at 242-
225-9748 .

The Foundation wishes to thank sponsors already on board for this event:
