In the spirit of unity – President Ian Rolle, Vice President Ginger Moxey, (Centre) management and staff of the GBPA Group companies, begins the New Year in worship with colleagues and family members.

Freeport, Bahamas – Management and staff of The Grand Bahama Port Authority, Limited and Group of Companies (PGL) began the New Year in worship at the Pro Cathedral of Christ the King Anglican Church, on Sunday past.

Cannon Harry Bain extended a warm welcome on behalf of the congregation to the GBPA group who enthusiastically joined in devotions.

Expressing thanks to Cannon Bain for his special welcome was GBPA President, Mr. Ian Rolle, who also offered greetings on behalf of management and staff at the morning service.

“It is indeed a pleasure to worship together and most fitting that the GBPA group chose to begin this New Year and new decade in worship, in the spirit of unity and thanksgiving,” said Mr. Rolle.

Reflecting on the various successes of the past year under the new ‘Making It Happen’ initiative, Mr. Rolle stated that GBPA’s objective is to do even more in 2010.  As he and his team strive “to better the lives of the Grand Bahama community and by extension, The Bahamas’, he promised that GBPA will seek to continue to enrich the lives of persons.

“To fulfill this mission, we must first be fortified and to this end, we at GBPA will continue in corporate worship at various churches throughout the coming year,” Mr. Rolle added.

The executives were stirred by Father Tellison Glover, who delivered an impassioned and inspiring sermon entitled, ‘The Purpose of Baptism to the Modern Day Believer’.

In 2009, GBPA ushered in a new ‘Open Door’ policy, with one facet being the introduction of ideas@gbpa.com.  This weekend’s Thanksgiving Church Service is only one of many ideas implemented thus far by the company.
