Hole-in-one wins $46,460 Ford Escape at Grand Bahama American Women’s Club Golf Classic

Freeport, Bahamas - The Grand Bahama American Women’s Club is hosting the 14th Annual Philanthropic Golf Classic at The Reef Golf Course February 18th. All proceeds from the tournament fund the club’s philanthropic endeavors to benefit the children of Grand Bahama.

The Tournament, played in a Four Ball Scramble, Blind Draw format, begins with a Shotgun start at 12 noon. A 2016 Ford Escape, valued at $46,460.00, sponsored by Freeport Jetwash and The Art of Giving, is the Grand Prize for a hole-in-one on Hole #4. A set of TaylorMade RocketBladez HL Irons 4-AW will be awarded for a hole-in-one on Hole #8, Hole #14 and Hole #17.

Tournament registration will be held at The Reef Tuesday, February 14th and Thursday, February 16th from 11AM – 3 PM. Groups are welcome to participate

Tournament and Hole Sponsorships remain available. Please contact chairperson Norma Liedel at 439.6193. Individual entry is $100 per player and includes dinner and the awards ceremony at Ocean Blue Restaurant.

The GBAWC welcomes all women, regardless of nationality, at monthly meetings for friendship and informative presentations. The Club’s philanthropic activities include testing of vision and hearing at local schools, the support of an environmental educational trust fund and the granting of scholarships to private schools. The Club has donated over $120,000 to the children of Grand Bahama in the past five years.
