Don Roberts, President of Dolly Madison Home Center and James T. Rolle, Dolly Madison Store Manager explain their new Value Added Savings program to the media during their press conference January 14th, 2015.

Freeport, Grand Bahama Island January 14th, 2015 - Now that the implementation of VAT in The Bahamas is a reality, Dolly Madison Home Center is initiating a productive approach to assist its vast customer base with a program they call Value Added Savings (VAS).

Dolly Madison Home Center President, Don Roberts Sr. noted, “We have to move forward leaving the VAT complaining behind us and adjust to the new reality, in this regard we are launching our Value Added Savings program (VAS). Our VAS program is designed to help our valued customers save some of their hard earned money.” Here’s how it works: On random days of the year Dolly Madison Home Center will pay our customers VAT on all purchases they make at Dolly Madison. The Value Added Savings days will be announced one day prior to the promotion on TV and radio ads. We will also post it on our Queen’s Highway Billboard and Dolly Madison Home Center Facebook page.”

Mr. Roberts felt it important to highlight the fact that they have not increased their prices as other businesses are alleged to have done stating, "The only change at Dolly Madison is the addition of VAT to our pricing as mandated by law, we have kept our 2014 pricing in place. However, on our Value Added Savings days, We pay the VAT for our customers on purchases they make in our store."

Dolly Madison Store Manager James Rolle says of Dolly Madison's VAS days, "it's as if January 2015 hasn't arrived yet."

Mr. Roberts noted that Dolly Madison Home Center has a long history of working with the small man and went on to say, ‘We see our Value Added Savings Days as the perfect opportunity for us to step up to the plate and assist our customers during these challenging times and our first Value Added Savings Day is tomorrow January 15th, 2015. Shop at Dolly Madison and WE pay your VAT for you."
