Kamalamee presents the “Country Development Medallion”

Freeport, Grand Bahama Island - The Kamalamee Organization is pleased to present the Official Kamalamee Honours “Country Development Medallion” which is nickel plated, and trimmed with 14 karate gold!  2013 and 2012 recipients will receive one during a special presentation.

Commissioned by, Northwest Territorial Mint who ranks among the largest of these mints, providing all-inclusive custom-minting services to individuals and institutions throughout the world. As a preferred military coining vendor, Northwest Territorial Mint has become the mint of choice for producing commander's coins of all of the top brass, and has established a track record for excellence and a willingness to embrace minting challenges that other companies simply cannot handle.  Notable Medallions are, The Pentagon, Defense Honour and Presidential Regalia for both Yale and Harvard University.

The 2013 Kamalamee Honours will once again celebrate ten of the most deserving and extraordinary individuals whose life contributions have resulted in the social and economic growth of our island and country. The gala event will take place October 27th at the Regency Theatre, and The Honours Ceremony will again be the highlight of Grand Bahama’s cultural year. Honourees will be praised by their peers and saluted in grand fashion with a medallion presentation, a two-hour black tie tribute concert, and an after-party.

2013 Honours recipients: Donnie Knowles for Athletics; Rev. Havard Cooper for Business, Wellington Ferguson for Ecology; Dorothy Lightbourne for Education; D. K. Griffith for Design; Gloria McGlone for Fine Arts; Dr. John Clement for Healthcare; Joseph Darville for Humanitarianism; C. A. Smith for Political Science; and Rev. Dr. Ralph Russell for Religion
