Freeport, Grand Bahama Island - Musician and Media Guru, David Mackey of Mackey Media Ltd and Uppercut 242 bandleader says a big THANK YOU for the generosity of music lovers at home and abroad who donated towards replacing his lost sound equipment during hurricane Dorian. Mackey proclaims, "The gesture has a warm humbling affect that will linger on in my heart for the rest of my life. It is my privilege to express my sincere gratitude to those who have donated equipment to replace the bulk my gear lost to Hurricane Dorian."
Mackey went on to name donors; Margaret & Graham Groves (Art of Giving), Bruce & Mary Silvera (Frecon), Juelanda Thompson , David & Lorna Cook, Chantal E Y Bethel, Anthony Conway (US resident), Céline Rodrigue (via Louise & Peter Koll) Brian & Cheryl Waugh (Waugh Construction), Ryan Carroll for transporting the gear and all others locally and around the world who did not want public acknowledgement (you know who you are). Mackey concluded by saying to the donors, "Thanks so much for sharing your love for those 12 notes of the music staff as I do by assisting with my sound system rebuild."

Mackey describes his family's experience as "having a front row seat at the greatest show on earth (at that time) and living to tell of its furry when most who see such occurrences are either running for their lives or lose it".
