No Landing Fees for residents & home owners at West End GBI Airport

West End, Grand Bahama -  The new operators of the West End Airport (Old Bahama Bay Resort) announced yesterday that landing fees for private planes and jets have been dramatically reduced and the private airport has been upgraded.

The new fees for the 6,000 foot runway that were put in effect immediately are as follows: Residents and Home Owners Landing Fee NO CHARGE and all Other Planes or jets only $50. The overnight parking fees have been reduced as well to $10 for Guests and Free for Residents and hotel/marina guests.

This is very welcome news to Private Pilots and Plane owners which make the beautiful Old Bahama Bay Resort and West End even more desirable as a second home or vacation resort. Real Estate Broker James Sarles of Coldwell Banker said  “This is a great boost for the West End Real Estate Market and will help stimulate sales”

Old Bahama Bay is in the historic village of West End, Grand Bahama Island, approximately 26 miles west of Freeport and 56 miles due east of Palm Beach, Florida.  West End has a colorful history and today is a picturesque fishing village. The settlement is the oldest city on Grand Bahama Island and is considered its historical capitol.  West End has a reputation of being hospitable and friendly and the atmosphere is one of cool breezes and the most beautiful sunsets.
