Grill Out For The Kids: Children from the Eight Mile Rock community gather for a fun day Sponsored GBPA & Operation Justice Bahamas.

Freeport, Grand Bahama – It was all about the kids on New Year’s Eve, as The Grand Bahama Port Authority, Limited (GBPA) headed West to support Operation Justice Bahamas, (OJB) in hosting over two hundred youngsters to a Grill Day in Eight Mile Rock.

Eight Mile Rock native Mrs. Ginger Moxey, Vice President – represented GBPA at the Grill Day event, engaging the kids in one-on-one conversations in a casual, relaxed setting.

“GBPA’s sponsorship of this event and others like it is just one way of expressing our commitment to the community of Grand Bahama….from East to West. Sharing my personal story of growing up without a father is close to my heart and being able to speak with these impressionable youngsters was important to me,” expressed Mrs. Moxey.

Grateful for support received from GBPA, CEO and Co-founder of Operations Justice Bahamas Mr. Troy Garvey expressed, “The main purpose in gathering the kids was to impart a positive message, that they can be all they can be, no matter where they come from. Mrs. Moxey’s personal rise from the seaside settlement to the auspices of the Port Authority was one which each of these children will relate to. We’re glad she came out, she really connected with the kids.”
