Freeport, Bahamas – Pelican Bay Resort and Marina has provided three local students with scholarships to attend an upcoming financial workshop. Creative Wealth Bahamas and Barefoot Marketing are bringing the popular and exciting Money Game to Grand Bahama Island on January 30th. The Money Game is an engaging, educational and empowering financial literacy program fully taught in the form of a game! Creative Wealth’s CEO Keshelle Kerr is facilitating the workshop which provides a wonderful introduction to the world of money and financial independence.

Each of the three government schools on the Island was asked to select one student who would benefit from Pelican Bay’s generosity. Eight Mile Rock High School chose Deputy Head Boy Pedro Pratt; Odysea Strachan is attending from Sir Jack Hayward High; and Head Boy Antonio Russell will represent St. George’s High. Keshelle will give students at St. George’s High and LucayaInternational School a taste of her program when she speaks to a few classes on Friday, January 29th.

“We are delighted to partner with Creative Wealth and Barefoot Marketing for such a timely workshop which will develop our youth and help to create a better and a more financially sound Bahamas,” says Melissa Carroll Reservations and Revenue Manager at Pelican Bay Resort and Marina. She noted, “Businesses and consumers alike often wait until tough times like these to monitor their expenditures. I am happy to see that our young children will have the opportunity to learn how to manage their money at a young age.”

The fun financial workshop specifically designed for teenagers, will be held from 10am-3pm at the Foster B. Pestaina Center behind Christ the King Church. The Money Game is open to teenagers between 13 and 18. Registration is $85. Contact Barefoot Marketing at 352-4578 or email info@barefootmarketing.net. Seats are limited so register today!
