Freeport, Grand Bahama – Underscoring their commitment to being a part of the Grand Bahama community, Royal Bank of Canada held its annual customer appreciation night at the Palm Pavilion of the Radisson Our Lucaya Resort.   “This year's reception is very important to us and we have made every effort to ensure that this is an evening of celebration with our clients after a very challenging year,” noted Nathaniel Beneby Jr., Vice President and Country Head, The Bahamas.

RBC opened their first branch in Grand Bahama 45 years ago and they have had a continuous presence here through good times and rough times. “We are optimistic for 2010,” said Nathaniel Beneby Jr., Vice President and Country Head, The Bahamas. “We believe our customers have headed our advice and have used this year to effectively manage expenses so as to maximize their potential - thus sustaining long term growth.”

Beneby was on hand last night to personally welcome guests, along with a strong Nassau contingent including: George Roache, Vice President, Commercial Markets, Brian Knowles, Senior Account Manager Business Banking, Joyce Riviere, Manager Personal Financial Services N.P. & Grand Bahama, and Tex Pinder, MGR Client Care & Operations, N.P & Grand Bahama.  They were joined by the Grand Bahama branch representatives Garnell Frith, Manager Personal Financial Services, Royal Bank, Dionne Smith, RBC FINCO Manager of Mortgages, Devincia Lebrin, RBC FINCO Manager Client Care and Solomon Gibson, Manager Client Care, Royal Bank.


“Our Grand Bahama branch has exceeded our expectations.  The new one-stop location for us of Royal and Finco brought everyone together in a revitalised premises that our customers really like,” noted Beneby.  According to Beneby the Grand Bahama branch offers a full slate of services from loans and corporate services to investment advice via Royal Fidelity, and all in one convenient location.

The evening allowed the RBC Grand Bahama Management to meet with their key clients in a casual setting and to thank them for their continued patronage. Garnell Frith, Grand Bahama Branch Manager was delighted with the turn-out for the event. “We are very pleased with the support from our loyal customers here in Grand Bahama.  My team and I have been here to assist where we can and to offer the best advice possible to our clients.  I am optimistic for a better 2010 and a renewed success for our island.”
