Freeport, Grand Bahama - The Grand Bahama Port Authority is deeply saddened and shocked by the tragic plane crash on Sunday which claimed the lives of Dr. Myles Munroe, his wife Ruth Ann Munroe, Dr. Richard Pinder, Mr. Lavard and Mrs. Radel Parks and their son Johannan, Pilots Stanley Thurston and Farkhan Cooper and an international passenger.

We and all Grand Bahamians join in mourning Dr Munroe's passing and are comforted that he was coming to host his second Global Leadership Forum here among us. We commend the leaders of the Faith Ministries for continuing to carry out his Ministry here today with their message of faith and hope, during this time of grief and sadness for us all.

The executives and staff of GBPA wish to express their deepest sympathies to Dr. Munroe's children and immediate family, the Bahamas Faith Ministries International family, the families and loved ones of the victims, as well as the countless followers of Dr. Munroe’s profound teachings.

The Grand Bahama community is privileged to have been part of Dr. Munroe's devoted work and his Ministry's extraordinary impact on our island and throughout the entire world.  Dr. Munroe was a unique visionary leader, and an iconic son of The Bahamas who fought tirelessly for world healing. He will be with us in spirit forever. May He Rest In Peace.
